at coffee mob
is all set for
december 7th, 2026!
7pm
A collaborative series of staged readings/performances designed to connect playwrights with actors and directors, allowing the playwrights to test their plays in front of a live audience. Playwrights will have the opportunity to gauge a live audience response to their plays. They will also engage in a Q&A session with the audience following the reading/performance. This will offer playwrights the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from the audience. Playwrights will also have the chance to ask audience members specific questions to gain insight into their plays. Our Pages To Performance series also offers valuable opportunities to local actors to showcase their skills in front of a live audience.Â

"Connect & create"

The Monologue Workshop
A workshop that will help writers build character-driven, active, and speakable dramatic speeches through targeted writing prompts and group readings.
Â
Writers will learn the nuances of creating dramatic action in their monologues. The workshop will focus on both subtext and voice as our writers will craft rhythms, pauses, and distinct character dialects that sound authentic when spoken aloud.Â
Â
This workshop will offer the writer Peer Feedback. Writers will have the opportunity to hear their drafted lines read aloud by actors and peers, allowing them to see what works and what needs revision.Â

All writer's completing our Monologue Workshop will be guaranteed to have their monologue performed in our upcoming Monologue Festival!Â
